Why Prep Matters for CLEARANCE #17 Wraps
CLEARANCE #17 is a budget-friendly option from Shine On Nail Wraps. Because the design and material specifics aren't listed, good prep is your safety net. Clean nails help the wrap stick evenly and last longer.
Step-by-Step Application Guide
- Prep Your Nails: Remove old polish, push back cuticles, and lightly buff the nail surface. Wipe with alcohol to remove oil and dust. Skipping the buff can cause the wrap to lift early.
- Select the Right Size: Hold the wrap over your nail before peeling. Choose the size that covers the nail without overlapping the cuticle or sidewalls. A too-large wrap will wrinkle; a too-small one leaves gaps.
- Peel and Apply: Peel the wrap from its backing. Center it at the cuticle line, then press down toward the tip. Stretch gently to avoid wrinkles. If you stretch too much, the wrap may thin and tear.
- Smooth and File the Edge: Use a cuticle pusher or your finger to smooth the wrap from center to edges. File the tip in a downward motion to cut off the excess. Don't use scissors—filing gives a cleaner seal.
- Seal with a Top Coat: Apply a clear top coat over the wrap and along the free edge. Let it dry completely before using your hands. A top coat locks the wrap and prevents chipping.
